Mounjaro is a dual GLP-1 and GIP receptor agonist – the first weight loss medicine to act upon two hormones. By binding to the two receptors of GLP-1 and GIP, it helps to control appetite, reduce cravings and regulate blood sugar levels. It slows down the time taken for food to digest in the stomach and pass to the small intestine (known as gastric emptying). This means you will feel fuller for longer and need less.
Starting dose is 2.5mg once per week, increasing to a maximum of 15mg once per week. The dose can be increased in increments of 2.5mg every 4 weeks. The dose you maintain on will be dependent on your experience and will be overseen by our experienced professionals.
